De Looff Ground & Civil Engineering chooses the MGM VS2-135 for dune nature management
On 28 January 2025, we delivered a new MGM VS2-135 to De Looff Ground & Civil Engineering from Alblasserdam. The company selected a version equipped with an SX25 mm rotor, mounted on a Takeuchi TB290. De Looff specializes in ground and civil engineering works and operates a modern fleet of machinery for a wide range of infrastructure and landscaping projects.
Removing invasive wild roses
The VS2-135 was selected after De Looff secured a project involving the removal of invasive wild roses from a dune area.
For this type of work, it is essential to separate roots and plant residues from the soil as effectively as possible. By screening the soil directly on site, a clean soil fraction is produced that can be reused immediately, while the wild roses and root residues are removed efficiently.
As a result, significantly less soil needs to be transported away, making the project both efficient and sustainable.

Compact machine with high capacity
For this project, the MGM VS2-135 with an SX25 mm rotor was selected. This machine combines high screening capacity with a compact design, making it a perfect match for the Takeuchi TB290.
The active action of the star rotor loosens and screens the soil efficiently while reliably separating roots, branches and other coarse plant material.
The result is a clean end product that can be reused immediately.
More efficient on-site operations
By screening the soil directly on site, De Looff Ground & Civil Engineering benefits from several advantages:
- less soil to transport and dispose of;
- fewer transport movements;
- direct reuse of the screened soil;
- lower processing costs;
- more efficient project execution.
Especially in nature management and civil engineering projects, mobile screening makes a valuable contribution to a sustainable and efficient way of working.

Watch the machine in action
During the project, photos were taken of the MGM VS2-135 in operation, as well as of the separated material. A video was also recorded showing the machine screening on site.

Thank you for your trust
We would like to thank De Looff Ground & Civil Engineering for placing their trust in MGM Power. We wish them many safe and productive operating hours with their new MGM VS2-135.
