Construction of the MGM Power GridScreener

1. MGM Valve technology
All MGM Power GridScreeners are equipped as standard with the unique MGM Valve technology.
This integrated hydraulic protection system protects the hydraulic motor against incorrectly connected hydraulic hoses and overpressure.
In addition, the GridScreener can be connected using just two hydraulic hoses, making coupling faster, reducing the risk of malfunctions and increasing operational reliability.

2. Maintenance-friendly wear parts
2.1 Individually replaceable paddles
The paddles can be replaced individually. This means the complete component does not need to be replaced when only one paddle is worn. This significantly reduces maintenance costs.
2.2 Quickly replaceable screen decks
The screen decks can be exchanged easily, allowing quick switching between different screening sizes. This enables one machine to be used for a wide range of applications.
2.3 Replaceable side wear plates
The side wear plates protect the main frame against wear and can be replaced easily without welding.
This preserves the construction and limits repair costs.

3. Chain drive in a grease bath
The complete chain drive operates in a sealed grease-filled chain case. This ensures continuous lubrication of the chain, greatly reduces wear and keeps the drive system reliable, even under demanding conditions.

4. Highly accurate screen decks
The MGM Power GridScreener is developed for extremely precise screening. Thanks to the accurately manufactured screen decks, a consistent fraction is produced, even at very small screening sizes.

5. Integrated transport points
The GridScreener is equipped with fixed transport points that allow the machine to be secured safely during transport.
This helps prevent damage and makes the machine easy to transport.

6. Replaceable side wear plates
The side wear plates are intelligently integrated into the main frame.
This prevents material build-up and keeps material flow optimal. When the wear plates become worn after prolonged use, they can be replaced easily without welding.

7. Dual hydraulic drive
From the larger models onwards, the GridScreeners are equipped with two hydraulic motors. This distributes the required hydraulic power evenly across both sides of the drive system. This results in higher reliability, less load on the drive components and even power transmission, even under maximum load.

8. Easy switching between screening sizes
The screen inserts are mounted in screen grid frames. Each frame can be released with just 4 bolts, allowing another frame to be installed quickly.

Unique in its class

The MGM Power GridScreener stands out thanks to a feature that is rarely found in the screening bucket market: exceptionally high production at very small screening sizes.

Where many screening buckets quickly lose capacity with fine fractions because the open screening area becomes limited, the GridScreener has been specifically developed to maintain a high throughput even at screening sizes as small as 4 mm.
This allows material that would normally only be processed economically using larger stationary or mobile screening installations to be screened directly with the excavator.

This unique performance is not the result of one individual component, but of the machine’s complete construction.
The combination of precisely manufactured screen decks, optimal material guidance, even distribution of material across the full screening surface and a powerful drive ensures that the material remains continuously in motion. As a result, the entire screening surface is used effectively and production remains high, even when very fine fractions are produced.
For contractors, soil processing companies, recycling companies and landscapers, this means that high-quality, clean soil can be produced directly on site, without first transporting the material to an external screening installation. This reduces transport movements, lowers processing costs and makes it possible to reuse excavated soil immediately.

It is precisely this combination of mobility, screening accuracy and exceptionally high capacity with fine fractions that makes the MGM Power GridScreener unique in its class.
The machine offers the flexibility of an attachment screening bucket, while its performance at fine screening sizes comes closer to that of much larger screening installations.
